We use digital X-rays that are displayed on computer monitors in each operatory. This can be an eye-opening experience for all patients because it gives them the opportunity to see their own X-rays on the computer monitors right in front of them. A pointer is used to indicate decay, pathology, bone loss, or potential problem areas on each x-ray. Patients are educated so that effective patient/doctor communication can be achieved.
